This year we are celebrating 20 years of Planters with a special party, and inviting all  of our guests to wear their most fabulous party hat and create their own centerpiece  or table décor! Express your creativity and decorate your table to your heart’s desire.  Or, keep it simple, and the Planters Committee will decorate for you. Invite your friends, family and associates to wear a special hat and join you for the event!

Let your imagination run wild and pick a table theme for your table.

• You may bring chargers, vases, votives, centerpieces or additional napkins.
• Candles must be in enclosed glass, no open flames, glitter or confetti.
• The Sandpearl Resort will provide table linens, china, silverware and glassware.
• Electrical outlets are in high demand and are limited. Reserve your table soon to ensure you’ll have power!
• Please, no political themes or commercial advertising for tables. Kindly exercise discretion when choosing your theme.
• Each table is round, 72” and seats 10 guests; chairs are 3’ tall. Doors open from 9-10am for decorating, ballroom doors open at 10:45am for luncheon.

The Planters Spring Luncheon is being held on May 15th at the Sandpearl Resort and will celebrate the Lois Odence Nursing Scholarship recipients. It is programs such as the Lois Odence Planters Nursing Scholarship that assist in the recruitment and retention of these top-quality nurses. 

The Endowment, established in 2001 with gifts made in memory of Lois Odence, a founding member of Planters, provides much needed financial assistance to nursing students who are facing economic challenges while maintaining excellent grades in nursing school.

Thanks to the community’s generosity, Morton Plant Mease Foundation is dedicated to supporting programs that enhance our nursing education, recognition, retention and recruitment initiatives.  To date, nearly $50,000 has been awarded to deserving nursing students through the Lois Odence Planters Nursing Scholarship.
